I managed the first day of squats. 10×4. Not the greatest looking ones and I had the aid of a chair. I have never been so sore in my life. I am taking two days off and hope I can start again tomorrow. The diet is no problem for me except for one problem. I quit smoking as well on New Years and there lies the problem. I am always hungry. I am staying away from sweets except for Nicorette Gum. No grains or dairy . Maybe I took on too much at one time. I am 72 years of age with asthma and need to lose about 25 pounds. I lost 30 pounds during the summer doing (HCG) my fat cure program but just couldn’t do it over again, besides I needed to tone up. I am snacking on natural peanut butter with celery to satisfy my hunger. Is this snack acceptable? Thanks

    Vic,
Again thank you, thank you! As a person who doing 31 right now and having Fibromyalgia cronic mucsle and joint pain. I been stretching and taking hot baths to help with pain. I started a week before new years and have only had to take pain killers one. Now my muscle pain is about twenty times more intense than a normal healthy person might help…I do take fish oil/omega3 and flax seed which is an anti-inflamatory and does help those muscle pain. Most people don’t know that grain is an inflammatory food. I stop eating it a year ago and my flare up r now only when I eat something I shouldnt, or if the weather get too cold. Just wanted to share with everyone my thoughts on sorness…oh yes Im seeing results can’t wait till day 31!

Hi Vic, I think you’re doing great things! I have followed this way of eating long before I purchased your program (out of curiosity! I am a complusive nutrition book buyer!)………I think it would help people more if you explained why they shouldnt eat grains………most people wouldnt know a carb if they fell over it, let alone the effect on blood sugar and insulin levels of even healthy carbs! Keep up the good work!……..Emma

    Hey Vic,

Thanks for those tips, the program has worked a treat. I got over my DOMS and I lost 5kg but unfortunately bloated out at xmas by 3kg. that’s cool cause it will only be a couple of weeks to lose it again.

    Cheers,
    Mick

@vinny – condiments like mustard and organic ketchup are fine. Spices are all good. Gum obviously doesnt fit the plan, but its not gonna hurt your weight loss.

@Chris you can see the rest at http://www.31dayfatlosscure.com/fat-loss-tips/ under Ask Vic

@ Dave – no oatmeal as that is a grain, no cottage cheese or fiber cereal as well. Salmon in a can is good and a conveinent way to get some protein in you….

@ Lorraine – I would switch to cashew or almond butter if you can. I used to be a big fan of natural PB, but have since changed my mind that cashew or almond butter is a lot better for you since they are REAL nuts
