I have been drinking a protein shake (Isagenix brand) for well over a year, so I've gotten used to it and find it filling. My problem has been eating too much "junk'" the wrong kid of carbs, etc. I add to the Isagenix shake a little bit of unsweetened almond milk (have eliminated all dairy milk, etc), and am eating more protein (lean meats), more spinach salads, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, and fruits like apples, peaches, raspberries and strawberries - and also eggs (3 scrambled - with no butter added -) for several lunches a week - and raw almonds and raw walnuts. My question/concern is if the Isagenix shake can continue to be my standard breakfast (along with a little unsweetened almond milk in it). There is SOME sugar in the Isagenix powder along with the whey protein. Is that O.K? I mean, it's hard to avoid ALL sugar - especially when it's included with the protein powder in the shake mix. Thanks!

Can I use stevia to sweeten tea or berries? How many times a day are we suppose to eat. How many servings of 6-8 almonds per day can we have? Just started this diet this week and I only have the download part so far. I can't really see an actual plan other than staying completely away from alcohol, grains, dairy & sugar.

The only sweetener I recommend is stevia.

Green beans, yellow squash, and pickles are fine. Skip the mayo and powdered creamer.

Yes, fruit should be limited to 1 - 3 servings spread through out the day. Also focus on grapefruit and berries and limit sweet fruits such as banana, melon, and pineapple.

Splenda should be avoided. The only sugar substitute I recommend is stevia.

I recommend avoiding soy milk and shakes of any kind for optimum weight loss. Eat real food.

Any nuts that are "raw" are fine. Just keep in mind that peanuts are not nuts, they are legumes.

Nuts keep to what fits in the center of your palm - about 6 - 8 almonds for most people. Most vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables like spinach and kale, you can eat as much as you like. Keep fruit limited to 1 - 3 pieces spread through out the day.

Eat 2 or 3 times per day with snacks in between if you get very hungry. A small serving of nuts with each snack is fine. Stevia and cinnamon are fine.
