Why Most Ab Exercises Won’t Actually Give You Abs…
By Vic Magary, Author of The 31 Day Fat Loss Cure

Want abs like this? Then stay away from crunches & situps!
You can’t miss them. There they are, gleaming from every glossy fitness magazine cover you see… lean sexy abs.
And you want them too. You want to feel the eyes on you as you walk out to the swimming pool and everyone is amazed at your lean and toned midsection. Who doesn’t want that?
So you do sit-ups and you do crunches and you do leg lifts. . . and your abs look exactly the same.
But why? Why after all of your hundreds of repetitions of ab exercises does your midsection look exactly the same?
Here’s the secret the “8 Exercises For Sexy Abs” purveyors don’t want you to know. . .
You may get strong abdominal muscles from doing sit-ups or other ab training. But that six-pack will NEVER be visible until you drop your body fat. Dropping your body fat to a level that lets the world see your lean and toned abs takes WORK. And work doesn’t sell magazines.
But I’m here to tell you the truth. And the truth is that you can get lean sexy abs without doing a single sit-up, crunch, or other traditional ab exercise. To get the lean and toned midsection that makes you proud to take off your shirt, you have to do three things.
1. Stick to a solid nutrition program. A solid nutrition program does not have to be complicated. It comes down to eating lots of vegetables, some fruit, lean meats, and a small amount of nuts. Avoid starchy carbohydrate foods like bread, pasta, rice, and potatoes. Keep dairy to a minimum or eliminate it completely. Keep your portion sizes to no more than your body actually needs for fuel. And of course, NO JUNK FOOD!
2. Strength training. You can lift weights, use body weight exercises, or even train with odd objects like sandbags. However you do it, strength training is necessary for building muscle. Increasing your muscle mass will lead to a higher resting metabolic rate – which means you’ll burn more calories even when you’re sitting on your butt.
3. High intensity interval training. Hill sprints, jumping rope, kettlebell swings, and the workouts found in the 31 Day Fat Loss Cure manual are all excellent choices for cranking your heart rate. If you can go longer than 20 minute sessions with this type of training, you are not pushing yourself hard enough. All of the crunches in the world will not get your heart thumping the way it needs to for fat loss.

I didnt get abs like this with situps & crunches
It’s important to realize that you cannot spot reduce – doing ab exercises will not burn the fat directly off of your midsection. As you reduce your body fat through proper nutrition and training, your body will get leaner everywhere.
And when you do the work and get leaner everywhere, your abs will be ready to show off as much as you like.

I have been attempting to lose weight for a few months. Pills, diets, programs… nothing worked well! Towards the end I realised that I needed to change my eating routine and work out. I’m losing a lb every week by eating 500 calories less than I burn each day

Have been doing this program for 1.5 weeks now- the diet is the main thing, but also am working the machines 3X/week for about 1/2 hour per session at the local gym and doing 25 deep knee bends morning and night. I occasionally get into the push ups too. I can say that eliminating (almost entirely) the wheat and the pasta, taking back my alcohol intake to 4 drinks/week total, doing the minimal exercises this program requires, well this has lost me 8 lbs in 1.5 weeks. I feel stronger already. I don’t exercise on the treadmill except if I want a cardio workout, but this program has taught me that strength training is where it is at. I am doing this program at about 70% and am still achieving results. The nutritional advice Vic offers is key- I eat black beans, salsa, lettuce and salads with blueberries, pea soup, lentil soup, tofu, green beans, kale, bananas in moderation, raspberries, and I make plainfat free organic yogurt smoothies with strawberries. I only use a little honey and very very sparingly as my ONLY source of sweetener and typically only in tea which I drink a lot of to fill up that hungry feeling at night when it appears. I eat some fish, no meat at all as I am vegetarian and I also have all but eliminated dairy (again, the yogurt as exception). I stay away from all fried foods. I enjoy stir fry vegetables with scallops. This is a great program, buy it! Do it!

Absolutely, we do not need to do thousands of sit-ups, crunches etc…Just reduce body fat and good old intense squats and deadlifts, will do the trick…Have a good day….

Hi Vic
I think a large part of the key to the success of your programme is this sending of mails regularly. I have missed some, but it is a constant reminder. I am afraid I am not doing that great on the diet side (but have almost totally cut out wheat [no bread for 5 days now] and dairy [milk in my coffee, but many cups a day, decaf] and drastically cut down on the booze, maybe 5 drinks in a week, including Friday! and I have lost 3 kgs or 6.6. lbs and I CAN see my belly contraction, and on a clear day I can see my abs! Ok, maybe not yet but I can imagine it, soon showing on a belly near you

Your voice info is too long and too boring. You promise to show (???) a few times during your talk but there is nothing to show at the end. If I can’t trust you then how can I trust your product or what you are saying ?

I haven’t noticed what you say, except if he says he will reveal something after purchase. If he gave it all away, what woud you have invested to add motivation. The key is basic common sense. He doesn’t give any new revelations the scientifix community is searching for. But that is not putting the system down, cause it works. A lot cheaper than P90X too. If you know it and live it all yourself, why are you even clicking on his ad? Quit poo pooingand move on or get with the program, it works, no extras needed, though some may want extras he has available. No pills, no mailed food, just good nutrition.

Hey Vic , Thanks for the 31 DayFatLossCure, I lost 19Lbs. I started on New Years Day and have lost another 8 Lbs since, which is where I needed to be. I am 55 years old , 5’6″ and went from 170 to 143+or-. My question is how do I tighten up my stomach and still be able to put on muscle? I am still following the Paleo Diet and working out at home 5 days per week. I have a pullup bar and dumbdells. I workout first thing in the morning, then have a Spinach,Ham,Peppers Omelet or a BLT, using Romain Lettuce as the wrap. Walnuts and Apple, at 10 a.m. Grilled Chicken Spinach Salad for lunch. and Almonds and Baby Carrots at 4 p.m. Stir Fry Chicken, or Beef , and Shrimp on Weds. at 7 p.m. Then a Grapefruit at 9 p.m. Please let me know your thoughts and what I need to do to get the muscle. Thank you in advance Chris.

Chris, if youre looking to pack on my muscle you’ll need to have a barbell. Your biggest gains will come from squats, deadlifts, shoulder press, bench and pull ups. Keep up the same diet, and maybe up your calories a bit…

Hey Vic, I started the diet 2 weeks before I started the Beginners program. I was also running 3.5miles a day. Since I started the diet I lost 11.4 lbs. Now I’m on day 3 of the training and a bit sore but looking forward to loose more weight. Currently I weigh 218.9 lbs and aiming to get to 176lbs.

Vic, I started your program and the first week I lost 8 pounds. I follow your diet plan, and I go very hard at the gym. The first time I was extremely light headed after the work out, but I am adjusted to it now. On the interval days, I run 10 100 yard sprints and follow up with 3 sets of push ups. I even did this on one of the 100 degree days! My beer belly is shrinking and people have asked am I working out. This f*$king plan works. Keep pushing us because obesity is not an option.
